We Are All In This Together: Goal: $130,000

Our Annual Giving fund is our top annual fundraising priority because it helps close the gap between tuition and the increasing cost of school operations. It provides essential flexibility and maximum benefit in directing resources to the areas of greatest need, such as teacher salaries. With your generous support, we are able to retain talented faculty, support language, art and music programs and fund needed facility improvements as well as our financial aid program.

We invite you to help sustain our wonderful school through your generous support of our Annual Giving Fund each year. All gifts, large and small, directly benefit current students. You donation is put to immediate use on campus for your child today!

ANNUAL AUCTION GALA

The Annual Auction Gala is Saklan Valley School’s other major fundraising activity. This event provides Saklan parents, friends, and supporters with the opportunity to enjoy an evening of fine food and drink, entertainment, good company, and the excitement of live and silent auctions while making it possible for the School to offer programs that enrich the school experience for the children of Saklan Valley School.

Last year, the Auction proceeds helped bridge the gap between revenue and expenses, and supported enrichment activities such as:

  • Providing each middle school student with the use of a lap top computer.
  • Presenting the school’s first ever musical production—“Into the Woods” by Stephen Sondheim—in which Saklan students performed every role, created every set, and staged the entire production.
  • Adding Spanish to our foreign language program in September, while continuing to offer Mandarin and French.

The theme of this school year’s Auction is “California Dreaming”, and celebrates everything that is wonderful about the California experience. The Auction will take place at the Claremont Country Club on Saturday, March 27, 2010. Your donations, contributions, volunteer time, and participation in this event will help assure its success.

The eScrip program is a valuable source of financial support for Saklan Valley School at no direct cost or special effort to participants! The eScrip program is simple and safe.

Register your ATM cards, and your personal and business credit cards. Enroll your Macy’s card for added contributions from this vendor.

Be sure to go on line to renew your eScrip commitment to Safeway before November 1, for uninterrupted contributions! Many of your favorite merchants are participants, including Eddie Bauer, Round Table Pizza and major supermarkets. You can check out the extensive lists of participating merchants at the eScrip website. Just sign up and continue to shop as usual.
