FRiday Note - May-15-2009
From The Head of School
Dear Saklan Community:
ERB testing ends today; I know the students will be happy. It’s been a long haul for the kids. If your child missed one of the tests, we have scheduled make-up tests for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, I will send the tests back to the Educational Records Bureau for scoring and analysis. We should have the results by October next year.
Wednesday, May 27th, is a noon dismissal/Professional Development Day. The teachers and I will be finishing the rough draft of the CAIS/WASC self-evaluation. Our hope is to have it completed before summer vacation so I can assemble each section for review in the fall.
Next Friday, I invite you to attend the Middle School’s presentation of “Into the Woods”. If you enjoyed the concert, you’ll love this play. Tickets are available in the office.
Amy Sullivan will be out early next week. She is returning to New York to attend her graduation from Columbia University. MS. Sullivan will receive her second Master’s Degree.
